Chennai, 17th April, 2026: MediNippon Healthcare Pvt. Ltd, an Indian subsidiary of GN Corporation, Japan set up in 2013 promoting Japanese technologies, Medical devices and Biomaterials through relevant partnerships and R & D collaborations has helped Create Medic Japan, a 50-year-old Tokyo stock exchange listed medical devices company with its successful entry into Indian market.
This journey started in 2017 with a market survey by MediNippon for the silicon-based products of Create Medic in oncology, gastroenterology and interventional radiology. After a positive market feedback, MediNippon provided support for the registration and CDSCO approval of their products, some of which are now used by several interventional radiologists in India. Following these steps, now, Create Medic - India has been registered with the Registrar of Companies to kickstart sales office in Chennai and have plans to gradually expand their marketing network to other states. Ultimately, they are inclined to establish manufacturing hubs and make products in India for the global market.
In the formal launch event held in Chennai on 15th April, Mr. Osamu Imazawa, President, Create Medic Japan, while explaining the vision of the company, explained that they are here not only for selling products but also to collaborate with Indian institutes that have strong clinical skills, to develop India-centric products and also make India a hub for developing new products. Mr. Katsuaki Yamane, Managing Director of the Indian company explained how they have been contributing to healthcare through minimally invasive products since 1974 and about their three factories in Japan, China, and Vietnam.
Prof. Dr. Shyamkumar N. Keshava, Professor and Head, Department of Interventional Radiology, Head, Division of Clinical Radiology, CMC Vellore, while speaking at the event, said Japan is known for trust and based on the clinical and technological expertise of Create Medic, their goal for global expansion will become a reality through research collaborations with physician-scientists in India.
The chief guest of the day, Mr. Muneo Takahashi, Hon’ble Consul General of Japan in Chennai, reiterated that such Indo-Japan partnerships in healthcare will not only be a boon for these two countries but for the entire global society.
Dr. Rajappa Senthilkumar, Director of MediNippon Healthcare, while congratulating Create Medic for its successful first step into the Indian market, acknowledged all the stakeholders, especially the contribution by Mr. Kousuke Suto and briefed the significance of Create Medic’s products. In particular, he explained how the Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) kit, one of their flagship products in India, is especially vital for patients with cancer especially those who are critically ill with inability to take food orally. In such challenging situations, the PEG kit enables doctors to provide essential nutritional support, offering not just medical assistance but also comfort and dignity to patients.
The event was participated in by representatives from Indo-Japan cultural organizations, chambers of commerce, financial institutions, and well-wishers.

Create Medic, founded in 1974, by a couple of engineers with expertise in silicone-based materials, whose initial products of medical devices with silicon gradually expanded in the past 50 years to wide range of unique products in oncology, gastroenterology, interventional radiology and urology.
