An eventful year of NCRM was commemorated with a series of events starting with the Fujio Cup Quiz on Stem Cells and Regenerative medicine

 

The Tennth Anniversary News Bulletin "Cell-e'-bration" (Vol:10) was released by Rev Dr Francis P Xavier, Director, LICET, Chennai and the first copy was received by Mr. Koji Sugiyama, Acting Consul General of Japan, Chennai, India in the presence of Prof. D. Shantharam, Vice Chancellor, The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University

             

The Acting Consul General of Japan at Chennai Mr. Koji Sugiyama lauded the Indo-Japan collaborative efforts in this evolving field of stem cells by NCRM and its Japanese collaborators and distributed the prizes to winners of the Fujio Cup Quiz, an all India quiz competition on stem cells conducted for the 10th time consecutively named after the renowned Japanese physician Dr Fujio Takayama. The first prize and the prestigious ever-rotating Fujio cup went to the team from Manipal Institute of Regenerative Medicine, Bangalore

The event concluded with the national anthems of both Japan and India.

Tenth Anniversary function was graced by the presence of the Acting consul general of Japan at Chennai Mr. Koji Sugiyamaas the Chief guest (4th from left) , Dr. Samuel Abraham (2nd from left), Dr. John Sudhakar (2nd from right), Prof. D. Shantharam, (Vice Chancellor, The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University)(3rd from the left), Rev Dr Francis P Xavier, (Director, LICET, Chennai )(3rd from the right), Dr. John Sudhakar (Quiz Master) (2nd from right), Dr. Saravana Ganesh ( right) and Dr. Dedeepiya (left) were the guests of honour.
