Oral submucosal fibrosis is a chronic, debilitating disease of the oral cavity for which stem cell treatment is given in NCRM. For an oral disease, this is the first of its kind in the stem cell field. We have proven that autologous bone marrow stem cells can reverse pathology of the disease state.
